Institute of Risk Management Tanzania (IRMT) is a member professional organization established under Chapter 212 of Laws of Tanzania with obligation to promote common interest and advance the theory and practice of risk management.

IRMT invites interested individuals to Project Risk Management Course blended with Contract Risk Management course scheduled on 25^th to 28^th October, 2017.

Program name: Project and Contract Risk Management Training

Course Objectives:

• Understand the Risk Management in context of ISO 31000, ISO 9001:2008, IS0 9001:2015 and COSO
• Understand the nature of projects, project implementation technology and benefits of project Risk Assessment
• Being able to conduct project risk analysis and presenting costs, schedule and technical impact
• Develop ability for project risk management options and mitigation
• Gaining understanding of project risk planning, project estimating, budgeting and Earning Value Management (EVM)
• Understanding how to develop Project Risk Contingency Plan including BIA, IMP, DRP and BCP
• Gaining understanding on Project Risk Management Plan, Monitoring and Controlling
• Understanding typical project risk management blunders
• Understanding the meaning and nature of contract and contract management including commercial aspects of contracts
• Gaining understanding on contracting methods, contract administration, Contract KPIs and KRIs
• Develop understanding of common traps and pitfalls in Contract Risk Management

Course Methodology: The training will be conducted through lectures, class discussions, group case studies, templates and video presentations. The course curriculum is available on our website (www.irmt.or.tz).  The methodology built in this workshop will help participants to understand and develop risk management skills and to apply what they have learned on a real-life work environment enabling an enterprise to obtain value for money. We can also tailor the training to specific organizational needs through pre-course questionnaires. At the end of the course participants will take home the risk management tools. This is a collection of several check list, forms, graphs, sample guidelines and reports. The tools will be used extensively during the workshop to give participants enough practice during the training.
