- The Programs
A total of 28 students registered for three examinations namely Certified Risk Management Technician (CRMT), Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) and Certified Financial Services Risk Specialist (CFSRS). However, 17(60.7%) students were able to sit for the examinations while the remaining 11(39.3%) were unable to do the examinations due to various reasons. In comparison to December 2018 examinations, the number of students who were unable to sit for the examinations has decreased from 56.0% to the current 39.3%. However, there is still the need to streamline and identify reasons for such a reasonable number being unable to sit for the registered examinations.
- Course Methodology
The examinations were organized in terms of knowledge examination (350) points and practical examination (150) points and the minimum score was 75%.
- Course Evaluation
While no students appeared for the Certified Risk Management Technician examination, 14 students sat for Certified Risk Management Professional and 3 students sat for Certified Financial Services Risk Specialist. As an organization, we need to identify reasons for students not featuring in the CRMT examination in spite of the fact that this student was registered.
- Overall performance
The performance is given for 17 students who did the intended examinations. Out of the 14 who sat for CRMP examination, 12 passed and 2 failed and out of the 3 who sat for CFSRS examination, 2 passed and 1 failed. As indicated in the performance table, the average score in knowledge based examination is 82.9% while in practical examination is 69.3%. While the performance in knowledge examination has dropped by 1.1% compared to December 2018 results where 84.0% passed, there is a marked decrease in the performance of practical examination where 82.0% of the candidates passed the December 2018 as compared to 69.3% who passed the June 2019 practical examinations. As an Institute, we have an obligation to identify the reasons behind such performance and eventually to put more effort in practical based examination.
- Conclusion
Based on the above results, management requests for Board’s approval on the examination results.
