Introduction

THE ANNUAL RISK MANAGEMENT SUMMIT is our professional rally event, which attracted over 100 people last year. The event is part of IRMT endeavors whereas the mission of the institute is to promote interest and advance the theory and practice of risk management to persons carrying in the risk management profession in the United Republic of Tanzania.

Addressing risk management agenda is an integrative issue both at the macro and micro level in the country and at the international level whereas standards and norms pioneered by international organizations have been adopted as regular best practices across sectors in countries.

 It is expected that participants will gain insights and information and knowledge on the ongoing developments in risk management and on how organizations can manage the ongoing uncertainty resulting from global evolutions and the wave of technological break-through. At the end of the day, participants will understand the integrative nature of risk management across different disciplines, will adopt the techniques in the direction of making risk-based optimal decisions, and be able to grab it as an opportunity for value creation and value protection in organizations.

Course Objective

The objectives of the course is to enable participants gain insights on Risk Management upon a sustainable use of resources for economic development, knowledge and skills on addressing risk management agenda both at the macro and micro-level in the Country and at International level whereas standards and norms pioneered by International Organizations have been adopted as regular best practices across sectors in countries.

• Assessment of the internal and external risks affecting Tanzania projects implementations and proposed mitigations
• The Cyber battle: Causes Risks consequences and mitigations
• Asset valuation under uncertainty: The Operational risk perspective
• Climate-related risks and its impacts to the Tanzania financial stability
• The challenges and opportunities that technological disruption poses for organizations in Tanzania and the way forward

A debate for professional to gather their thoughts and share their different perspectives in a motion dubbed “The impacts of external threats on project effectiveness and proposed mitigations”.

Course Information

1. The Fees include the costs for the Lectures, training venue, stationeries, Breakfast, Lunch and refreshments during the training session.

Risk Management Certification Examinations

IRMT announces commencement of Registration for December 2022 professional examination session. The registration is divided into four levels; Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), Certified Financial Services Risk Specialist (CFSRS) Certified Risk Management Technician (CRMT) and IRMT ISO 31000 Certified Risk Manager (CRM).
